In October 2018, Chris and I embarked on a huge adventure, leaving the security of a quarter of a century in the northeast and starting afresh in Florida and Colorado. This blog is a reflection on our experiences – we hope you’ll join us on our way.

I’ll post at least once each month – don’t worry I won’t tax my readers; unlike most writers I don’t struggle to keep things short; my issue is to add enough detail.  Some of the writing will be lyrical prose – I’ll try and capture the essence of what I’m sharing and give you a taste to let your imaginations take over.

Like everyone else, my observations are skewed, by everything I’ve experienced to date, but also because I have a vision disability.  Much of what I see is blurred. I’ll describe what I see and know and what Chris fills in. He has shared my life for many years now and his off-beat humor, kindness and deep love of music will undoubtedly percolate through this blog.

Visit the “About Us” section to learn more about what makes us tick, keeps us sane and smiling through the rain!

Quilting

Somewhat weary, and very belatedly, we returned to our summer home in Colorado to enjoy the mountains, powder puff clouds sailing across crisp blue skies, ripping thunderstorms, deer, wild sage – and quilts! Our neighbor has a passionate interest in the ancient craft, or is it art, of quilting…
